Baby: Good imitator but not fooled!

As we all know, babies like to imitate intonations, facial expressions and gestures.

According to Canadian study, babies are be able to distinguish truth from lies and so to do the difference between reliable adult and not reliable.

Most babies will refuse to imitate a person who misleads them.

The research focus on has been of 60 babies for 13 to 16 month. They were divided in 2 groups. The goal is to know if adults are reliable or not thought 2 experiences.

The first: Adults have to see in a box and was been so enthusiastic. After, babies have to see in boxes if there is a toy inside and to know the credibility of adults.

The second: adults will actuate the switch with the foreheads to turning on lights.
34 % of babies who was misled imitate adult versus 61% who was know reliable adult.
